The East Neuk of Fife is a magical place!! ….. The quality of the light has attracted many artists… and something in the air, or maybe the water, has created a vibrant musical community. I am proud to be a part of that community.

I arrived in St Monans seven years ago, and now refuse to leave!

There is a wide diversity of musical styles within the community, and this has encouraged me to leave my comfort zone in a number of collaborations.

A cd ‘the George Street Sessions’, featuring many of the East Neuk musicians has been released, and proved to be a great success!!

MIKE BOWDEN and the A917 BAND … An original blues based, guitar driven quartet …. incorporating many influences, but remaining true to the blues!! The band fills the hole left by Blue Swamp (the collaboration with John Williamson) … and is perfect for festivals…….
